MISSION:

The general mission statement of DIET is as follows:

To provide academic and resource support at the grass-root level for the success of the various strategies and programmes being undertaken in the areas of elementary and adult education, with special reference to the following objectives:

• Universalization of elementary education
• National Literacy Mission (NLM) targets in regard to functional literacy in the 15-35 age group.
• Eradication of adult illiteracy.
• To serve as a platform for research and experimental work in the educational domain.
• To support and implement the various educational interventions of national as well as state agencies of education.

VISION:

The vision of DIET is to enhance the quality of education both at elementary and secondary level, by providing need-based academic support to teachers at district level. DIET, Dibrugarh is serving the cause for glorious 28 years by providing teacher training of excellent standard on holistic ground to create self-confident, employable and value ingrained responsible teachers. We ensure to make ourself as an epitome of research and training for facing the challenges of education sector of Dibrugarh district.
